Peacewar by Elia Tyson
From the Author:
This is the revised edition of Peacewar, my first full-length novel. It's a story about courage, friendship, and faith. It's not perfect, but my hope is that it's good enough to be enjoyable and inspiring. The revised edition fixes a few typos, and makes the plot more consistent with the book itself and with the sequel that I am currently writing.
Thanks to my mom and dad, who edited it, and to my friends Emma and Cora, and all my friends at the Wingfeather forum (most of whom are now fellow flabbits), who were very encouraging. Thanks to Andrew Peterson, Trenton Lee Stewart, Orson Scott Card, Suzanne Collins, and Lauren Daigle, for inspiring many aspects of this book.
As you can see to the right, this book is available as a free download. Here's the format rundown: AZW3 looks really good (has all the fonts I wanted to use, formatting is better, etc.), but it only words on a Kindle (not the Kindle app for iOS and Android), and only if you import the file onto your Kindle through a program called Calibre. So basically unless you really really want this book to look nice, try one of the other formats. MOBI is the normal Kindle file, which you can download directly from you Kindle, send to your send-to-kindle email, or read in the Kindle app on your mobile device. EPUB, contrary to popular belief, is not a place to enjoy your favourite virtual beverage; it's a eBook format that works with iBooks. And lastly there's the PDF version, which also looks nice but (as you know if you do much reading on an electronic device) doesn't work as well as an eBook.
